Privacy

As of October 16, 2026

In brief

  • This site sets no cookies.
  • Visits are counted anonymously with GoatCounter, without cookies and without storing your IP address. There is no tracking across websites.
  • There are no accounts and no forms that send anything. If you write me an email, for example with a technique or a bug report, the section “If you write to me” applies.
  • Fonts, scripts and images come from this site itself. The only connection to a third party is the count request to GoatCounter.
  • What you mark or enter in the Dojo stays in your browser. I receive none of it.

Controller

Marcel Lehmann (trade name KMUpower), reachable at marcel.lehmann@kmupower.com. The full provider details are in the legal notice.

Hosting on GitHub Pages

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. The operator is GitHub Inc. in the USA. When you visit, GitHub processes technically necessary access data in server logs, for example your IP address and the time of the visit. I do not analyze these logs. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. Details are in the GitHub privacy statement.

Search Console

I use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to see which search queries make the site appear in search and how often it is clicked. The site embeds nothing for this. The data comes from the search engines and is aggregated.

Anonymous visit counting with GoatCounter

So that I can see which techniques are read, the site counts visits with GoatCounter. The provider is GoatCounter.com, operated by Martin Tournoij in Ireland; the data is stored on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Finland and Germany. This site serves the counting script itself, only the count request goes to GoatCounter.

For each page view, GoatCounter receives the page address, the referring page, the browser identifier (User-Agent), the screen width, the browser language and your IP address. Only totals per day or hour are stored: page path, referring page, browser and operating system with version, country, language and screen width. Your IP address and the full browser identifier are not stored. So that a reload does not count twice, GoatCounter keeps a combination of site, IP address and browser identifier in memory for at most 8 hours, never on disk. No cookies are set, nothing is stored in your browser and no data is passed on to third parties. The basis is my interest in knowing which content is used. Details are in the GoatCounter privacy policy. If you do not want to be counted, block requests to goatcounter.com with a content blocker. The site works exactly the same.

Your progress in the Dojo

Some settings and your progress are stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This is not a cookie. The entries stay on your device and are never transferred to me or to third parties. Something is written only when you take an action, never when you merely open a page. The exceptions are the one-time takeover of the earlier entry for dark mode (see “Earlier version” below) and the one-time language choice on the home page (see cn-sprache).

  • cn-theme: “light” or “dark”. Remembers light or dark mode. Created when you use the dark mode toggle.
  • cn-bewegung: “aus”. Turns off animations. Created when you choose “Motion off” in the footer.
  • cn-sprache: “de” or “en”. Remembers your language choice. Created when you click DE or EN at the top, or once if your browser does not list German as a language and the German home page therefore redirects you to the English version.
  • cn-dojo-v1: your practiced techniques with dates, your current belt, your starting point from the self-test with date, saved techniques and your profile (Company name, Role, Industry), if you fill it in. Used to show your progress, calculate your belt and prefill fields in the techniques. Created when you mark a technique as practiced, complete the self-test or save your profile.

What you type into the fields of a technique is not stored. The exception is the three profile fields that you enter yourself under My Dojo. Do not enter customer data there.

Deleting: under My Dojo, “Delete everything” removes all four entries. You can also delete them in your browser settings, under the site data for this site.

Earlier version: until October 2026, the entry for dark mode was called copilot-ninja-theme. On your next visit it is taken over once into cn-theme and then removed.

If you write to me

The “Contribute a technique” form under My Dojo and the “Write to me” links only prepare an email in your own email program. Nothing is sent until you click Send there. The email goes through your email provider and the email provider of KMUpower.

  • Processed are your email address, your name if it appears in the email, and the content of the email.
  • Purpose: to answer your email, to check a submitted technique against the documentation and, if it passes the check, to publish it in the Dojo.
  • A contribution is published with your name only if you answer the question “May I name you as the sender?” with yes. Otherwise it appears without a name.
  • I keep the email as long as I need it for the reply, the check or the published contribution. On request, I delete it earlier and remove your name from the site.

Links to other sites

The site links to Microsoft Learn, to kmupower.com, to the Power Platform Academy, to LinkedIn and to other sites. Only when you click a link does the respective provider receive your data. Its privacy policy applies there. The links to the Academy and to kmupower.com carry a source parameter in the address (utm_source=copilot.ninja), so that the target site can see which site you are coming from. This site itself does not evaluate the parameter; the target site does so under its own privacy policy. Signing up for the newsletter does not happen on this site but on kmupower.com.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, you can request access or deletion. The site itself does not store any personal data with me. I only have personal data if you write me an email (see “If you write to me”). For the hosting logs, contact GitHub. For everything else, write to me at marcel.lehmann@kmupower.com.
