After the team meeting, your notes are just bullet points. The minutes should go out to everyone today.

Prompt to copy

Goal: Turn my notes into meeting minutes with a list of action items.

Context: The notes are from a team meeting. The minutes will then go to all participants.

Source: Only the text I paste below. Do not add anything that is not in the notes. If a detail is missing, write “open”.

Expectations:
1. A summary of where things stand in no more than three sentences.
2. The decisions as a list.
3. The action items as a table with the columns Task, Owner and Due date.
4. The open questions as a list.
Write in plain, factual English without filler phrases.

How to use it

  1. Paste the text into Microsoft Copilot Chat.
  2. Insert your notes at the end and send.
  3. Compare the result with your notes before you send it out.

How to spot a good answer

  • A summary of where things stand in no more than three sentences.
  • Decisions and open questions as lists, action items as a table.
  • Missing details marked as “open” instead of filled in.

The check

Leave out a due date on purpose and see whether it shows up as “open” in the minutes.

Limits

  • The prompt only works with the text you paste. It does not listen to a meeting and does not read a recording.
  • Names, dates and decisions are only as good as your notes.
  • Runs in Microsoft Copilot Chat with a work or school account. Whether your subscription includes it is explained on the Free page.
