The Dojo QuizQuiz from a policy for new employees

The situation

Every new employee signs the personnel policy. Whether she read all of it, you don't know, and the questions come in the first month.

The cut

After

Goal: Create a quiz for new employees from the attached document.

Context: The document is [Document, e.g. our personnel policy]. The new employees work as [New hire role, e.g. back-office clerks].

Source: Only the attached document.

Expectations:
1. Ten questions with four answers each, exactly one is correct.
2. The wrong answers are plausible, like typical misunderstandings.
3. Below each question: the correct answer, one sentence of reasoning and the reference in the document.
4. At least three questions about deadlines, responsibilities or exceptions, because these are easy to miss when reading.
Address the reader as “you”, in plain language.

No add-on license in Microsoft Copilot Chat, with file upload. Without a copy button: select the text and copy it with Ctrl+C.

How to use it

1. Upload the policy as a file, fill in the document and the role, send.
2. Compare every question with its reference in the document.
3. Delete questions that only check wording instead of understanding.
4. Run the quiz in week 1 and in week 4, on paper or in your form tool.

How to spot a good answer

• Ten questions with four answers each.
• A reference below every question.
• At least three questions about deadlines, responsibilities or exceptions.

The check

Compare the quiz results in week 1 and in week 4. Also count the questions to the team lead about this policy in the first month.

Limits

• Check every question against its reference before the quiz goes out.
• You transfer the quiz into a form tool by hand.
• According to Microsoft, file uploads have limits. The pages checked give no numbers for them.
• The quiz checks knowledge, not whether someone follows the policy.
